This study aims to examine the causal factors of social security from the perspective of the Holy Quran by analyzing its verses and extracting concepts related to this subject. Using an analytical-exegetical method and qualitative content analysis, the causal factors were categorized into four main groups: cultural and cognitive, social and communicational, religious and divine, and structural and migratory. This research focuses on cultural causal factors. The results show that concepts such as taqwa (piety), justice, fulfilling covenants, and divine will are among the important causal and cultural factors that play a significant role in shaping social security. In contrast, other cultural causal factors such as rumor-mongering, prejudice, and stubbornness can undermine social security. Unlike Western theories such as the Copenhagen School, which emphasize external and structural factors, this research is grounded in religious foundations and moral values. The findings of this study can serve as a basis for future research aimed at indigenizing social security theories based on religious teachings.
